Jeffco Sheriff Jeff Shrader is done with people saying Jefferson County is a sanctuary county.
In a sharply-worded public letter sent out on Friday, he pointed out that Jeffco notifies immigration agents about foreign-born person booked into the Jeffco jail. What has Jeffco, and every county in Colorado, on the Trump administration's excrement roster is that they won't hold people for ICE after they're due to be released.
Sheriff Shrader noted Jeffco was sued for doing that in 2009, and lost. He wrote that the county cooperates with ICE to to the "full extent of the law."
