DENVER — Many times on Next, we've talked about the difficult, even the danger, when we can't agree on the facts.

We've talked about what happens when people choose to live in an alternate reality, based on misperceptions or lies told by powerful people.

9NEWS anchor Kyle Clark invites you to join him in person to continue that conversation next week at the University of Denver. Kyle will have a conversation with DU Chancellor Jeremy Haefner on the topic "Media and Democracy: What happens when we can't agree on the facts?"

The conversation will cover the roles of journalists, people in higher education, and the public in improving a polarized society.

The event is free and open to the public, but you do need to RSVP. It's Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. on the University of Denver campus. You can RSVP for free here.
