DENVER — Many times on Next, we've talked about the difficult, even the danger, when we can't agree on the facts.

We've talked about what happens when people choose to live in an alternate reality, based on misperceptions or lies told by powerful people.

9NEWS anchor Kyle Clark continued that conversation at the University of Denver Tuesday night. Kyle had a conversation with DU Chancellor Jeremy Haefner on the topic "Media and Democracy: What happens when we can't agree on the facts?"

The conversation covered the roles of journalists, people in higher education and the public in improving a polarized society.
