DENVER —
There’s currently a push to encourage more people to move to Colorado – from California, of all places.
But it's not exactly what you think.
Colorado wants to poach some of the best minds in tech from Silicon Valley and convince them their next career can be here.
A public/private partnership, called Pivot Colorado, is in charge of recruiting the talent for 11,000 tech companies in the state.
Stephanie Copeland, from the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, stopped by to tell us why the state’s spending money on this, how they’re trying to attract the workforce, and which states are trying to attract people from Colorado.
