DENVER — Truly saving the history of Denver means saving the seedy, along with the stately. That certainly applies to Colfax.
Neighbors are rallying to save the 50-year-old neon sign that once belonged to PT's All Nude Club, and was originally installed in 1968 for a music venue called Fridays and Saturdays.
The sign has been altered over the years, including the addition of the word ‘nude’ for the strip club, but the neighborhood would like to see it saved and restored to its original look.
The property is on the market. 9NEWS photojournalist Corky Scholl spoke with Mary Beth Susman, a Denver City councilwoman, about the efforts to save the sign. Watch the full story in the video above.
