Today, we'd like to recommend the recommendation of a Next viewer named Laura Frederick. Her day job is at an assisted living center, the Sierra Rehabilitation and Care Community.
Frederick's request this holiday season is for you to help her find a cure for loneliness on Valentine's Day. She asks that you send a Valentine's Day card to the people in a nursing home, who wouldn't otherwise get one.
"A lot of times it feels like people get left at nursing homes, and then they get forgotten, and they are not really apart of the community anymore," she said. "That's one of the reasons I wanted to do this for them."
She told us that people don't have to send a card to one of her residents. She's sure any nursing home in our community would welcome a Valentine's Day card, addressed to someone who needs it.
