GREELEY, Colo. — A couple died after a crash involving a car and two motorcycles in Greeley earlier this month.

According to Greeley police, a Mustang was heading north on Highway 257 near the Highway 34 business interchange just after 5 p.m. on June 2 when it veered into oncoming traffic, making contact with at least one of two motorcycles in the southbound lanes.

Both motorcycles went down.

Police said Lawrence Lee Oyler, 59, was driving the motorcycle that was hit and died at the scene.

His wife, Lori Ann Oyler, 48, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. She died from her injuries on June 5.

Lori Oyler was a passenger on the bike her husband was driving. It is not clear how many people were riding the other motorcycle and whether they were injured.

Police said they've received conflicting reports from witnesses about another vehicle that may have contributed to the crash.

According to reports, it was raining heavily at the time of the crash, a release from the Weld County Coroner says.

Officers said don't know specifically why the Mustang veered into oncoming traffic, but they don't believe alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Greeley Police Department.
