DENVER - A house that caught fire on Valentine's Day was on fire again Tuesday morning.

According to Denver Fire, a home at 1480 South Bellaire Street caught fire just before 6 a.m.

Both the house and detached garage caught on fire. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze in 15 minutes and without damaging nearby homes.

The house appears to be abandoned or at least empty. Neighbors say the house had been vacant since the first fire and say the family had been staying in a hotel.

Restoration crews had been in and out of the house recently, according to witnesses. A man who worked for the restoration company told 9NEWS workers had finished demolishing the dry wall and clearing almost all the rooms.

Denver Fire is calling the fire "suspicious" given the fact the fire broke out in the same location, it was vacant and the detached garage also caught fire.

When the house first caught fire on Valentine's Day, the family was able to escape, but unfortunately lost their poodle-terrier mix Sasha in the blaze.

Olmstead's parents had three dogs and a cat before that fire. Two of the dogs were safe. The cat was located hours after the fire was extinguished.

The first fire seemed to originate in the back of the home, but the second fire seemed to spread from the front to the back.
