Nearly 2 dozen more dogs are coming to Colorado from Texas.
Many of them ended up in already overcowded shelters after flooding hit the state.
Emma, a German Shepherd, jumped into a woman's car to escape the rising water. Sawyer, a young black lab mix, was found with what appeared to be knife wounds to his front legs.
The animals are being brought to Colorado through the HomeComings Dog Rescue, which is a foster based organization.
The group is in need of foster families to provide temporary homes to the animals before they're adopted.
Several dogs came to Colorado last week and all of them have already found forever homes according to the rescue group.
