KUSA — The moose that was caught on camera wandering around Colorado Springs on Tuesday was the same one that was spotted hanging out in Westminster back in June.
That’s according to a Facebook post from Colorado Parks and Wildlife, which said the moose’s identity was revealed by its ear tags.
The young moose spent Tuesday heading deeper into Colorado Springs toward dowtown, until finally at around 5 p.m., CPW said officers decided the animal was posing a danger in the dense urban area and tranquilized it.
The moose is being moved once again … this time to rural Teller County.
In a Facebook post, CPW said the hope is the moose will stay in the forest.
The moose was first tranquilized and relocated on June 29, when it was seen enjoying a beautiful manicured lawn in Westminster.
