KUSA - Police in Castle Rock are investigating a homicide and attempted suicide Saturday morning.
It happened in the Founders Village neighborhood just before 5 a.m. Police were called to a home for a domestic disturbance and found a 36-year-old woman dead from an apparent stab wound.
A 44-year-old man was found in critical condition from an apparent self-inflicted stab wound.
He was taken to a local hospital where he underwent surgery.
The woman was staying at the home with her mother and brother to escape a domestic violence situation.
She had five children but none of the children were injured.
