KUSA - The cause of death has been determined for a hunter who went missing in September near Steamboat.
Richard Harkins, 41, of Minnesota, died from altitude sickness.
It was also found that he had an enlarged heart.
Harkins went bow hunting and separated from the group he was with. He sent a text message the day he went missing and was not heard from since. His group said he had a small tent, a pack, food and water.
According to his companions, he was an avid outdoorsmen.
