GOLDEN, Colo. — The Golden Police Department is investigating after a 76-year-old woman left her home Tuesday afternoon and did not return.

Police said Kap Soon Lee lives on Golden Eagle Circle, which is in the Eagle Ridge neighborhood off Heritage Road. She left her home around 1 p.m. Tuesday and has not been seen since, according to police.

Police said Lee frequently walks in her neighborhood, as well as along the Clear Creek corridor in downtown Golden.

Police were notified of her disappearance Tuesday. They searched the surrounding area on foot and with a bloodhound, but did not find Lee.

Lee is described as an Asian woman, about 4 feet 11 inches tall and 125 pounds, with brown eyes and short dark hair with white roots. She was last seen wearing a charcoal thin black shirt, light sky blue windbreaker, jeans, and light blue tennis shoes.

Police said Lee normally keeps to herself. She understands most basic conversations in English, but may only have a limited vocabulary to respond. She cannot read or write English.

Police said Lee has high blood pressure and has not taken her prescribed medication since she was last seen.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Golden Police Department at 303-980-7300.
