ARVADA, Colo. — Three children who had not been seen since Thursday morning when they left a home in Arvada are safe, according to the Arvada Police Department.

Police said their grandfather brought the children, ages, 13, 10 and 7 to the Denver Police Department station in District 4. From there they were taken to Arvada to be reunited with their guardian, police said.

The children were last seen at 11:16 a.m. Thursday in the 8500 block of West 53rd Avenue and were on foot. The children had previously played at Terrace Park which is located nearby at 8625 W. 53rd Ave. Police said previously they did not know if they had gone there.

Police said they used all "appropriate investigative resources available" and had assistance from numerous other local agencies. Arvada detectives are continuing their investigation, and additional information may be provided at a later date.
