DENVER — It's a well-known go-to for those late-night, "I've-been-cruising-LoDo" moments.
Even if it's not your thing now, you probably remember at least a few of those nights.
And now the Colfax staple may soon become something entirely different: Tom's Diner is up for sale.
Tom's Diner, the one-story, 3,684-square-foot building that sits on a 0.49-acre lot at 601 E. Colfax Ave., is listed on Loopnet.com for $4.8 million.
The listing indicates that it's an attractive option for developers.
It says: "This [Capitol Hill] property for sale is a great value add and redevelopment opportunity. Attractive C-MS-8 zoning allows for many uses and high-density development. ... Proximity to Downtown, great transportation, high visibility, and numerous redevelopment opportunities make this a very attractive, value add, investment opportunity."
The restaurant serves comfort food and sits along East Colfax Avenue near a part of town with several clubs, bars and music venues.
