LITTLETON - Four units were damaged during an apartment fire in the 2900 block of West Centennial Drive in Littleton.
According to Littleton Fire, the blaze started just after noon on Friday. Twenty-three fire apparatus and 45 firefighters responded. No one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it is believed to have started in a ground floor unit that was being used as storage for building materials for remodeling projects in the complex. According to police, the contents were very flammable.
The ground level unit fire reached up to the second floor.
Three animals were removed from the units and have been taken to a local veterinarian.
