Looking for a job? UPS is hiring thousands in Colorado

UPS said candidates can complete their application without an in-person interview in 20 minutes.

DENVER — UPS has announced will hire 2,455 seasonal workers in the Denver metro ahead of a very busy holiday shipping season.

Because of the anticipated annual increase in package volume that ramps up in October, UPS said it expects to hire over 100,000 seasonal employees nationally.

UPS said roughly 30% will be driving positions, 45% package handlers and 25% driver helpers. Seasonal hourly pay rates begin at $21 per hour for package handlers and driver helpers while driving jobs begin at $23 per hour, UPS said.

UPS said candidates can complete their application without an in-person interview in 20 minutes, for 80% of the openings with the final job offer contingent on passing a background check.

"The best talent delivers the best service. That’s why we’re proud to offer industry-leading pay for UPS part-timers, full-timers and seasonal employees alike," said Nando Cesarone, Executive Vice President and President, U.S. "We’re looking forward to delivering yet another leading on-time performance this holiday season and helping thousands of workers kick off their UPS careers in the process."

UPS said nearly 50,000 seasonal employees earned permanent positions after the holiday season over the past two years.
