DENVER — Indoor pickleball courts are popping up everywhere in the Mile High City. The latest happens to be a proposal for a new venture, Denver Pickleball Club, located at 1060 S. Emporia St. in Denver’s Windsor neighborhood.
Craig Springer, a local Denverite and pickleball enthusiast, recently filed a plan with the city for new indoor pickleball courts. Plans call for a 3,550-square-foot pro shop for selling gear, parking spaces and 25,300 square feet dedicated to 10 pickleball courts.
Springer currently serves as vice president for the nonprofit Barna Group, started playing pickleball a few years ago and immediately took note of the dearth of outdoor court availability within Denver.
