THORNTON – A house fire that broke out in Thornton on Wednesday morning has displaced a family of five.
Thornton Fire Dispatch says a home caught fire in the 9200 block of Yucca Way.
One occupant inside the home was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.
The Red Cross has been called in to assist the family.
SKY9 captured a large plume of smoke visible over the home. Several callers reached out to 9NEWS to report seeing smoke during the morning commute.

It appears one side of the home was heavily engulfed in flames. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
