CENTENNIAL, Colo. — A large plume of smoke was visible Wednesday morning from a house fire in Centennial.
South Metro Fire Rescue said no injuries were reported in connection with the fire, which was first reported just before 11:30 a.m. at a home in the 7400 block of South Kit Carson Street. That's in the area of South Clarkson Street and East Dry Creek Road.
Two adults and a cat safely escaped from the home, firefighters said.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire. They said the fire started near the back porch, burned to the first floor, then up to the attic before it was extinguished.
