BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. — Less than an hour from central Denver is a mansion freshly back on the market with an asking price of $4.5 million.

Located at 6610 Rabbit Mountain Road northwest of Longmont, this 12,271-square-foot home features six bedrooms and nine bathrooms and sits on a 5-acre lot along with a rustic barn. And for an extra $1.5 million, one can purchase a neighboring second home and equestrian facilities on an additional 43 acres.

Ron Tarantino Sr., former president and owner of New York-based cosmetics packaging company Paris Art Label, and his former wife, Caren, purchased the property for $350,000 in 1995, according to public records. The couple had looked at properties all over the country before settling on the nearly 50 acres in Colorado when they fell in love with its mountain views during the day and city light views at night, Tarantino said. Then they worked to design their ideal home, which was completed in 2006.

"It's got every bit of everything that I ever wanted in a home," Tarantino told Denver Business Journal.

Tarantino said his favorite parts of the home include the space to entertain across its expansive square footage, which has since been limited for new construction in Boulder County, and the flow between the carefully planned rooms.
