A Frontier Airlines plane headed from New Orleans to Denver had to be diverted to Oklahoma City Saturday night, thanks to an unclaimed laptop.
Oklahoma City Police spokesman Officer Hayden Barnes says a flight attendant found the computer in the bathroom. When no one claimed it, the pilot decided to land the plane. After landing at around 9:45 p.m., the Oklahoma City Police bomb squad determined that it was just a laptop. FBI agents tracked down the owner and found that she was drunk, so she and her daughter stayed behind. The rest of the passengers were back on their way to Denver at around 2:15 a.m.
In a statement released to 9NEWS, Frontier spokesman Richard Oliver says the decision to land in Oklahoma City was made out of an abundance of caution.
