Governor's Holocaust Remembrance Program to be held Wednesday

Registration is open for the Anti-Defamation League's 43rd annual Governor's Holocaust Remembrance Program.

DENVER — The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Mountain States Region will be hosting the 2024 Holocaust Remembrance Program Wednesday at Temple Emanuel in Denver.

The Governor's Holocaust Remembrance Program allows people of all faiths to come together each year and honor Holocaust survivors, remember those who died, educate the community about the Holocaust and translate those lessons into contemporary action.

The event has been supported by every sitting Colorado governor since 1981, according to the ADL.

This year's program will feature Holocaust survivor Manfred "Manny" Lindenbaum and will recognize the winners of the 2024 A Tribute to Moral Courage Student Essay Contest.

Remarks from Colorado Gov. Jared Polis are expected as well as a memorial prayer and the lighting of the Holocaust memorial candelabra.

The program will start at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Registration for the event can be found on the ADL's website.
