Chad Kelly appeared in Arapahoe County Court Monday for an arraignment hearing related to a trespassing charge.
The arraignment was continued to Jan. 28.
The former backup quarterback for the Denver Broncos was arrested Oct. 23, accused of trespassing into a home near South Lincoln Street and East Eastman Avenue in Englewood.
Kelly, 24, entered the home, sat down on the couch next to a woman inside and began mumbling incoherently, according to an arrest affidavit.
The affidavit says the woman then called for another resident in the home, who hit Kelly with an aluminum pipe from a vacuum cleaner and then chased Kelly out of the home.

Officers then found a man matching Kelly's description inside a black SUV near the Gothic Theatre, according to a news release.
Kelly earlier that night had attended a Halloween party hosted by Broncos linebacker Von Miller, according to several sources.
The next day, the Broncos announced they were cutting Kelly.
Kelly is a former star quarterback from the Buffalo, New York, area and played for Ole Miss in college. He has a long history of trouble.
