Firefighters have extinguished a fire that broke out just before noon Wednesday in a high-rise under construction in downtown Denver.

The structure is located at 1475 California Street.

There’s no word yet on what caused the fire, though firefighters suspect it was related to construction. The relatively small blaze produced large plumes of smoke.

It started on the five floor, and caused minor damage on the sixth.

No one was seriously hurt, but the construction company says one worker was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Everyone inside the building was quickly evacuated.

RTD says due to the firefighting activity in the area, the D, F and H light rail lines end edat the Convention Center. Bus shuttles will take passengers between 18th and Stout streets and 30th and Downing streets.
