Firefighters from Thornton and North Metro battled a field fire near 136th Avenue west of Quebec Street on Friday afternoon.
The fire was largely contained by 4:40 p.m. Firefighters said the blaze did not threatening any structures.
SKY 9 showed that the fire was burning behind a neighborhood with firefighters in position to protect the homes if the fire got too close.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
