DENVER — One person is dead and four others were taken to the hospital after a reported odor at a Denver home. Two other people were treated at the scene, according to Denver Fire.
Denver Firefighters and police responded to the multi-family structure in Denver for an odor investigation Tuesday morning.
Around 8 a.m., Denver Fire posted to social media that crews arrived at East 41st Avenue and Ensenada Street and found multiple people who were ill. Seven victims were located. One of them died, and four others were taken to the hospital. The others were evaluated at the scene.
Crews were trying to determine the cause and source of the odor, according to Denver Fire. There was no danger to anyone outside of the building where the order was reported, a spokesman for Denver Fire said.
The man who died was identified as 33-year-old Daniel Antoine. An autopsy was done, however, the Denver Medical Examiner's Office said his cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.
The coroner's office will determine how the person died. Police said there's no indication that the death was suspicious or criminal.
