'It’s so bizarre': Denver man mistakenly receiving former President Trump jerseys in the mail

A Denver man said he has received nearly 20 Trump-related shirts over the past month, but he didn't order a single one.

DENVER — A Denver man has been receiving something odd in the mail for the past few weeks: sport jerseys with logos supporting former President Donald Trump.

That man, Rick, said it started in mid-July when he received a UPS notification that his “TIKTOK INC” package was on its way.

That package contained a white button-up sports jersey with “Trump 2024” on the front, and Trump on the back next to the words “Chillin’ like a felon.”

“And then the floodgates opened, and they started coming,” said Rick, who asked his last name not be used for this story. “I almost was getting one every two or three days.”

To date, he has received nearly 20 packages with similar shirts from people across the United States.

“It’s really creepy,” Rick said. “I feel like I’m in the 'Twilight Zone.'”

On Tuesday, Rick opened the latest package, which contained a shipping label from the TikTok Shop. He believes people are trying to return the jerseys to TikTok’s online store, but TikTok’s QR code in the return information is routing the packages to his home.

Rick said he doesn’t have a TikTok account and has never purchased anything from the store, so he isn’t sure why his address is associated with the company at all.

“I’m OK taking these off the market, that’s OK," he said. "But yeah, I’d like it to stop.”

The United States Postal Service said it’s looking into the situation. Emails to UPS and TikTok were not immediately returned Tuesday.
