DENVER — Denver saw a net influx of 11,053 people over the course of a year, according to U.S. Census Bureau figures released Thursday.
That growth was the nation's ninth-highest between July 1, 2017 and July 2018, the Census Bureau found.
The Census Bureau estimates delved into several measurements of the population, including the 15 largest (Denver doesn't rank there) and the 15 that grew the fastest by percentage.
Texas had five of the fastest-growing cities, continuing a trend in which Western states dominate the ranks of population growth. Charlotte (13,151), Jacksonville, Florida (12,153), and Columbus, Ohio (10,770) were the only cities east of Texas to make the top 15.
