BOULDER, Colo — A woman was killed when she was hit by the mirror of a pickup truck while riding her bike in Boulder County Monday afternoon, the Colorado State Patrol said.
Troopers said the crash happened around 1:15 p.m. Monday on U.S. 36 near the intersection with Broadway Street, north of Boulder. The cyclist was going southbound. The driver of the pickup truck, a 2001 Chevy 3500, was also southbound. The passenger side mirror of the pickup hit the cyclist, CSP said.
The cyclist was killed in the crash. She was identified as Juliane Herlihy, 36.
Troopers said the driver of the pickup truck stayed on the scene. No charges have been filed in connection with the crash, CSP said.
