LONGMONT - A Longmont couple has been arrested and accused of pimping, pandering and "keeping a house of prostitution" in connection with massage parlor raids in Fort Collins earlier this year.
Song Qing Yu, 51, and Fu Zhen Huang, 52, were arrested and bonded out of the Larimer County Jail on Monday.
"These cases are very difficult to investigate. You've got johns who don't want to cooperate, foreigners who are participating, maybe unwillingly," said Longmont police Cmdr. Jeff Satur. "It was a pretty far-reaching investigation."
Fort Collins police led the investigation, which was launched following resident complaints about the massage parlors. Witnesses reported a steady stream of men visiting for short periods of time. With the help of the FBI and ICE, police in April raided two massage parlors: SH Massage at 4032 S. College Ave. and FCT Massage Therapy at 111 W. Prospect Road.
Both are featured as 4-star locations on "Rub maps: Find your happy ending," a website that offers tips and slang for receiving sexual favors from massage therapists.
Satur said Fort Collins police conducted an extensive investigation to make the arrests; he said he wasn't at liberty to discuss the specific techniques police used. Fort Collins police declined to comment and referred questions to court documents, which weren't immediately available.
The couple lives in Longmont but operated in Fort Collins.
Satur said Fort Collins police should be commended for their work: "They recognized the issue, identified it and came up with a way to investigate that case.
