CONIFER, Colo. — A man and woman were found dead inside a Jefferson County home after their daughter went to the home after being unable to reach either of them by phone.
She called Jefferson County sheriff's deputies to the home in the 12100 block of Bear Park Road around 6:45 p.m. on Sunday after going there and finding her dad lying on the floor.
The woman reported that the doors were locked but when she looked through a window she saw her father on the floor.
When deputies arrived they forced their way inside and found the woman's mother and father, both 67, dead. Both had been shot, the sheriff's office said.
Two dogs were also found dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
The sheriff's office said they're not looking for any suspects and said there is no threat to the public.
