DENVER — Colorado will have a cute and cuddly participant during the big game on Super Bowl Sunday.
That's right, Chili is taking her talents to Team Ruff in Puppy Bowl XIX airing at noon Mountain Time Feb. 11 on Animal Planet.
"Chili is the only shelter dog from Colorado taking the field, and she is ready to show everyone what her 5-pounds of fluff is all about!" the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region posted on Facebook.
The winning team will hoist the Lombarky trophy, along with the bragging rights that come with it.
All of the dogs that participate in the Puppy Bowl come from shelters and rescues. This year, 131 puppy players from 73 shelters across 36 states are taking part.
