LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A woman was killed and two other people were injured after a crash Wednesday morning on West Colfax Avenue in Lakewood.
According to Lakewood Police, a woman died in the crash that occurred near the intersection with Garrison Street. Police said another woman and a man were also taken to the hospital.
Footage from SKY9 showed that a truck involved in the crash appeared to have traveled off the roadway into the nearby Safeway parking lot, where it came to rest against a pole in the lot.
Security video obtained by 9NEWS showed a small white car enter the intersection where it was then struck by a truck. That vehicle continued toward the parking lot.
The exact circumstances of the crash are unknown at this time. Due to the investigation, the intersection was closed for several hours but reopened around 10:30 a.m.
