4-year-old girl from Denver killed in pedestrian crash in Boston

Gracie Gancheva, 4, died in the crash Sunday evening.

BOSTON — A young girl from Denver died after being hit by a pickup truck this past weekend near the Boston Children's Museum.

Gracie Gancheva, 4, was pronounced dead Sunday after being taken to a hospital, according to a Boston Police report.

The crash happened at 5:06 p.m. near the intersection of Sleeper Street and Congress Street in the Seaport District. According to NBC Boston, officials haven't said whether the family was at the Boston Children's Museum prior to the crash.

The driver remained at the scene, and drugs and alcohol were not suspected as factors in the crash, according to the police report. The Ford F150 involved in the crash was taken into police custody as evidence.

The police report said Gracie's death was an accident and listed the preliminary cause of death was listed as "blunt force injury."
