BOULDER, Colo. — The Boulder County Coroner's Office announced Thursday morning that they have identified the body of a 19-year-old male as Mikhail Solok of Aurora.
An investigation has been launched into the death after the body was found Tuesday near the 1800 block of South Flatiron Court in Boulder, according to the Boulder County Coroner's Office.
The office said an autopsy has been completed, and the cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.
Solok, a political science student at University of Colorado Boulder, was reported missing on March 19 by the CU Boulder Police Department. Solok had not spoken to his family or friends since Thursday, March 14, the CU Boulder Police said at the time.
“We are heartbroken to learn of [Solok's] death, and extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends,” said CU Boulder Police Chief Doreen Jokerst. “We thank all who provided tips or assisted in the search for Misha over the past month, including the FBI and our local law enforcement partners.”
CU Boulder announced Thursday morning that they would have campus support services available to all students, staff and faculty.
“Our hearts go out to [Solok's] family and friends,” said Sandy Jones, CU's dean of students. “We encourage all who need support during this difficult time to talk to a friend or a family member or to seek professional support through the many campus resources available.”
