Arrest made in connection with death of northern Colorado musician

Stanley Scott Sessions, 53, played trumpet as one of the main members of the band The Movers & Shakers.

LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — A man was arrested Sunday in connection with the death of a northern Colorado musician who was found dead on Feb. 10, according to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office (LCSO).

Stanley Scott Sessions, 53, of Greeley, was found dead that morning near the road in the area of Old Flowers Road and Pingree Park Road in Bellevue.

Sessions was a well-known Northern Colorado musician, the Coloradoan reports. For the past five years, he sang and played trumpet as one of the main members of the Denver band The Movers & Shakers

"He's not just a horn player that we called in for gigs," bandmate Kyle Borthick told the Coloradoan on Wednesday. "He was a big part of our show and he's going to be hard to replace. He was a really unique character, a very upbeat, positive guy."

LCSO investigators on Feb. 16, arrested 48-year-old Kevin Dean Eastman of Greeley in connection with Sessions' death. He was booked into the Larimer County Jail on suspicion of first- degree murder, tampering with a deceased human body and an outstanding warrant from the Denver Police Department.

Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call LCSO Investigator Justin Atwood at 970-498-5143.
