DENVER – A group of anti-police protesters demonstrated at Civic Center Park Sunday at the same time as a planned rally aimed at showing support for law enforcement.
Ken Clark, the vice chair of the Denver Republican Party, was slated to serve as the master of ceremonies for the pro-police rally, which also included Concerns of Police Survivors and the Blue Knights Colorado Chapter 1.
The anti-police protesters carried signs that expressed opposition for recent officer-involved shooting deaths across the country.
One sign showed the faces of five suspects killed by police in recent months.
Pro-police demonstrators carried signs that thanked officers for keeping the community safe.
