Nearly 2,500 customers are without power in an outage that also left three schools in the dark Wednesday morning, according to Xcel.
Hackberry Hill Elementary School, Thomson Elementary School and Arvada High School all experienced a power outage, Jeffco Public Schools said.
Phones at the schools may not working, according to the district.
Xcel’s power outage map indicates that 2,484 customers are without power in Jefferson County.
There’s no word yet on what caused the outage, or when service is expected to be restored.
