Midyette was out on bond awaiting sentencing in the death of his infant son. In February, he was convicted of criminally negligent child abuse resulting in death.
The person who tipped police that Midyette had violated his probation is the ex-husband of his new girlfriend.
He had started seeing a woman who runs a home daycare but Midyette's bond restricts him from any contact with children under the age of 18.
Before his arrest, officers say he played video games, rode motorcycles and watched TV with his girlfriend's children.
His new bond is set at $20 million. />
