PUEBLO, Colo. — Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the necessary social distancing guidelines, a World War II veteran wasn’t able to have the birthday he or anyone wanted.
But, the Pueblo Police Department did its part to make his day a little bit better.
“We went ahead and provided him with a small parade to let him know how much we appreciate his service and to celebrate his birthday with him,” the department wrote on Twitter.
This video of the parade might just remind you there are lots of good people in the world even in dark times.
Of course, the Pueblo Police Department wasn't the first to engage in a social distancing parade.
The Fort Collins community held a birthday car parade for a boy whose dad died of suspected COVID-19.

There was also a drive-by parade in Broomfield to celebrate an 8-year-old boy who defeated cancer.
People honked as they drove by, and held signs out their windows to celebrate Carter Egerter's recovery.
Teachers have gotten in on the action too.
In addition to parades, people have been making cloth face masks for first responders and their neighbors, and donating whatever they can to people in need.
The Pueblo parade is just another example of people doing good in bad times.
