KUSA - One year ago, Monday Denver police officer Celena Hollis was shot and killed in City Park. She was responding to a disturbance during the Jazz at the Park event.
The young mother is being remembered by friends and family as a hero. She was honored with a memorial at the station.
The man who killed Hollis was sentenced on Friday to 26 years for second degree murder.
