Three people were hurt when a propane tank exploded in a Brighton backyard Sunday afternoon.
The fire was reported around 2 p.m. at a home in the 1100 block of East Bromley Lane.
Firefighters say a propane tank exploded while someone was grilling and sparked a fire that spread from the back patio to the home. Portions of the kitchen and attic were damaged.
A spokesperson for Brighton Fire Rescue says 3 people suffered burns on their arms and hands, but are in good condition.
They're investigating what caused the tank to explode.
