JEFFERSON COUNTY - Rescuers responded to Roxborough State Park, west of Castle Rock for two people in the S. Platte River.
The company Renaissance Adventure Guides says they were doing a swift-water rescue exercise on Sunday, when two participants were swept downstream. The two were wearing wetsuits and rescue gear when it happened. They were found safe Sunday afternoon.
It happened off of Highway 85 where North Fork of the Platte and the S.
Platte converge between Foxton and Deckers.
Denver Water was notified to limit drainage to the Strontia Reservoir.
