The Friday afternoon incident occurred near East 23rd Avenue and Chambers Road.

Witnesses told police the 4-door Chevy Impala was driving northbound on Chambers Road with excessive speeds and weaving in and out of traffic. The car then lost control, went off the roadway, went airborne and struck a tree, according to police.

One of the adult male passengers in the rear seat area was pronounced dead immediately on scene. The driver, an adult male, was transported to the hospital and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
