DENVER — Two people were taken to the hospital Saturday morning after a fire broke out at an east Denver home, according to the Denver Fire Department.
The fire was reported about 8 a.m. in the 2600 block of East 43rd Avenue in Denver’s Elyria Swansea neighborhood.
Firefighters arrived at the scene at 8:04 a.m. to find a large volume of smoke and flames, Denver Fire said. The blaze was put out by 8:23 a.m. Photos from the scene show heavy damage to the front of the home.
Denver Fire said two people inside the home were taken to Denver Health as a precaution.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
