CASTLE ROCK – One person was killed in an early morning house fire at 3914 Morning Glory Drive.
A call came in about the blaze at around 4:45 a.m. Wednesday. The Castle Rock Fire Department says the victim, identified only as a man in his 50s, was the only person in the house
It's unclear how the fire started. Firefighters are using a drone to investigate the fire further.
It took around 10 minutes for 28 fire personnel to bring the fire under control. Authorities tried to resuscitate the victim, who was found quickly by firefighters.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Firefighters say the blaze damaged the inside of the home, but did not spread to neighboring houses.
