Today’s daily dose of cute comes from Winding River Ranch, a wedding venue just outside of Grand Lake that also rescues baby animals.
Meet Byron, the baby goat who will soon steal your heart.
Byron was born on Saturday night. He only has three legs – just like his mom, Dolly, who walks on three legs because she injured one as a baby.
By Sunday morning, Byron – who is a real fighter – could stand on his own. By that evening, he could walk.
His dad’s name is Poptart, who is one of multiple other rescue animals you can find on Winding River Ranch, which also has a miniature donkey, a miniature horse, a full-sized donkey, full-sized horses, seven calves, four dwarf goats and another male full-sized goat.
Byron also has a little brother named Arvin.
If you ask the ranch’s owners, Melissa and Travis Busse, why they save the animals (which they call “critters”), they say “For the kids!” They have two grandbabies.
