PARKER, Colo. — Vitalant is celebrating the opening of its newest Colorado blood donation center.
The new donation center is now open at 10233 South Parker Road #107, a few doors down from its original Parker location.
Vitalant said the new space is larger with more donor beds to accommodate more blood donations. Donors will see mountain views as they donate, as the new center has more windows to showcase the Rocky Mountains.
Vitalant said every two seconds, someone needs a blood transfusion. Blood donations are used for multiple purposes including for trauma patients or those with massive blood loss, patients undergoing cancer treatments.
How to donate blood at Vitalant
Vitalant has donation centers in Denver, Colorado Springs, Golden, Boulder, Greeley, Littleton, Parker, Westminster and Highlands Ranch. Vitalant also holds regularly-occurring mobile locations and pop-up blood drives.
Donors of all blood types can make an appointment at Vitalant. Appointments can be made for Vitalant donation centers or blood drives in Colorado or Cheyenne at Vitalant.org.
