TELLURIDE, Colo. — Singer, actress and businesswoman Selena Gomez is a busy woman, but that didn't keep her from spending a little time with her young fans in Telluride.
The "Lose You to Love Me" singer was in Colorado for the Telluride Film Festival, which began Friday and ends Monday. Knowing that, the Telluride High School volleyball team posted a bright orange sign asking Gomez to sing the national anthem for them.
Gomez shared a photo of the sign on her Instagram account Saturday.
"Selena Gomez, Please sing the National Anthem @ one of [our] home games: Fri 6:00 p.m., Sat 1:00 — THS Volleyball Team," the sign read.
"They asked!! Couldn't help it, it's my first time in Telluride!" her caption read.
The "Only Murders in the Building" star shared other photos and videos from her visit showing her signing autographs and posing for photos with the team. She appears to be signing a young person's forehead in one of the photos.
The post had garnered 4.5 million likes as of 3 p.m. Sunday.
The Colorado High School Activities Association also posted about the superstar's visit on the social platform X.
"So cool of @selenagomez to surprise @TrideAthletics at its volleyball game!" the post read.
