The Doctor will see you now.
BBC America released the first image of Jodie Whittaker in full costume as the 13th Doctor on Doctor Who Thursday. The actress, whose casting was announced in July, will be taking over the part from Peter Capaldi, who took over the role in the Season 7 Christmas special. She's the first woman to ever take the part in the long-running British sci-fi series.
Each Doctor's costume is an iconic part of his or her personality. Matt Smith, the 11th Doctor, wore a bowtie and tweed jacket, often noting that "bowties are cool."
Whittakers' culottes and suspenders look has been greeted with enthusiasm by fans online.

Although quite a few noted that it's not that far off from Robin Williams' Mork and Mindy ensemble.
Both aliens but I didn't expect the new #DoctorWho to channel Robin Williams in Mork and Mindy. #NanuNanu pic.twitter.com/UPtedEJsqA
